Simply put, Scott Wichern became a firefighter to help people in need.
“I joined O’Fallon Fire Protection District because it’s a world-class organization, and a place where I knew I could enjoy a rewarding career with plenty of opportunities to connect with and serve a community,” he says.
Wichern, who is studying to receive a marketing degree, has also worked for the St. Charles County Ambulance District as part of their transfer unit and as a medic for the Missouri Baptist Hospital emergency room.
He and his wife — newlyweds — live in South City with their dogs, Gus and Shelton. Outside of work, Wichern enjoys rock climbing, playing basketball and outdoor activities such as hunting and fishing.
