OFPD Announces Promotions for Kevin Davis, Matt Braile

Congratulations to O’Fallon Fire Protection District crew members Kevin Davis and Matt Braile, who recently received much-deserved OFPD promotions.

Davis, who has been with the District since March 1988 and most recently served as an engineer, has been promoted to the rank of captain. In his new capacity, he will lead the crew at OFPD Station #5. In the fire service, a captain leads a four- to five-person crew and also coordinates, oversees and recommends training for his assigned crew.

Braile, who has been with the District since October 1997 and most recently held the rank of captain, has been promoted to the battalion chief overseeing the 21 firefighters who serve on the OFPD A shift. In the fire service, a battalion chief oversees the duties and activities of an entire shift, serves as the incident commander in emergency situations, and is also responsible for managing personnel issues, training activities and programming.

“Congratulations are certainly in order for these two dedicated members of our OFPD family,” Assistant Chief Brian Moore says. “We are lucky to have them and grateful for the leadership they will provide in the years to come.”
