Battalion Chief Chad Vesely

Battalion Chief Chad Vesely joined the O'Fallon Fire Protection District as a volunteer in 1991 and was hired as a career firefighter in September 1997. He was promoted to Captain in June 2015 and to Battalion Chief in January 2025.

Chief Vesely holds a Bachelor's Degree in Fire Science Management from Lindenwood University (2009) and certifications as Firefighter I&II, Fire Instructor I, Driver/Operator-Pumper, and EMT-Basic. He is an active member of the St. Louis Metro Urban Search and Rescue Task Force 1 and is trained to the Technician level in Trench Rescue, Confined Space Rescue, and Structural Collapse Rescue.
